meaning of marginalised
Marginalisation is when groups of people or communities are being excluded from the majority because of their language, customs or religion. The communities which are numerically small in relation to the rest of population are known as Minorities. Marginalisation is experienced in every sphere of life. Economic, social, cultural and political factors work together to make certain groups in society feel marginalised.

some forms of social inequality
Discrimination on the basis of race, religion, language, sex, place of birth and so on, gives rise to social inequalities.
Caste system
- Although originally caste depended upon a person's work, it soon became hereditary.
- The four primary castes are Brahmin, the priests; Kshatriya, warriors and nobility; Vaisya, farmers, traders, and artisans; and Shudra, tenant farmers and servants. Some people were born outside of (and below) the caste system; they were called "untouchables" or Dalits—"the crushed ones."
- Ante varius praesent at
- Nunc sed natoque cursus tellus

Untouchability
The upper castes also treated many of these groups at the bottom as “untouchable”. They were not allowed to enter temples, draw water from the wells used by the upper castes, or bathe in ponds where upper castes bathed. They were seen as inferior human beings.
untouchables
They were made to do jobs like removing dead bodies, carrying out waste, etc.
Members of the other castes would not touch them for fear of losing purity.
People who did these jobs were considered impure and unclean.
