Describe the revolution that took place in 1947.

This revolution all happened because of the Fourteenth Amendment in Justice Hugo Black’s dissent in Adamson v. California. Black stated that this amendment was meant to ensure that no state took away their citizen’s privileges and protection.

The “selective incorporation” was put into place in the 1960s and is all about if specific provisions of the Bill of Rights were essential to “fundamental fairness.” If it was then it had to apply to the states as to the federal government.

There were many problems with the Articles of Confederation such as not being able to raise funds and limited power.

There were no problems with the Articles of Confederation the people just wanted to change things up and create a constitution.

There were problems with the government so to fix them the government decided to make a constitution in hopes that it would bring order.

How many state legislatures had to ratify The Constitution?

Half have to ratify The Constitution in today’s world, back then all states had to agree.

Three-fourths have to ratify the constitution in today's world, back then it was only nine out of the thirteen states.
