The analects of Confucius is written by his followers after his death Anthology of quotes from confucius and his disciples, important events in his life and description of him. It emphasizes the importance of morality for the betterment of oneself and society in general.
THE STRUCTURE OF ANALECTS
- the “upper text” (Books I - X)
- the “lower text” (Books XI - XX)
- Books III through VII seems to be written soon after the death of Confucius.
- Books XVI, XVII, XVIII, and XX

Confucius is relevant to our lives today because his sayings relate directly to us and how to live happier and more fulfilling lives.Together they express a philosophy, or a moral code
