• The St. George Campus is committed to a 37 per cent reduction of greenhouse emissions by 2030.
• They aim to be climate positive by 2050.
• They have four LEED buildings: the Rotman School of Management, the Lassonde Mining Building, the Munk School of Global Affairs and the exam centre on 255 McCaul St.

• The university signed the Talloires Declaration in 1990 which incorporates sustainability into higher education.
• Both campuses are targeting full waste recovery and reuse by 2050.

• The Vancouver campus Green Building Action Plan states that by 2035, all UBC buildings will make net positive contributions.

• They committed to divert 90 per cent of waste from landfills and reduce waste per campus user by 2020.
• They encouraged the community to learn about sustainability.

• McGill strives to be a zero-waste university by 2035.
• A carbon-offsetting program is being developed as the transition from online to in-person classes becomes prominent.
