ABSTRACT

Our project deals with “Squid Game”, the notorious TV series of the moment. Nowadays TV series are one of the most important tools to share worldwide information, and this can be demonstrated by the fact that the series has been seen in 28 days by 111 million people. Extrapolate the relevant themes of the series from an economic point of view and to compare the different issues with facts addressed in global history program. Moreover, we analyze the series from a current point of view, so our focus will be on how "Squid Game" has entered inside lives around the world. Main issues: - South Korea industrialization and his “Big push”. - Defeat of Capitalism. - Unfair disparities of social classes and the main theme of the rich people power over the bottom classes. - How the series influenced the modern society and how the community reacts to it. - How TV series take their cue from history and how they influence today's society.
