THE EMPIRE BISCUITS (BRAVE)
Ingredients
- 225 g of softened butter
- 1/2 cup vanilla sugar
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspon salt
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
- 2 cups icing sugar
- Cherries
INSTRUCTIONS
Beat the sugar, butter and flour
Preheat oven to 160ºC
Use an oval cutter
Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes
Sift the icing sugar and add water
Spread with raspberry jam and dip in icing
Remy’s Ratatouille from Ratatouille
Ingredients:
- 1/2 can tomato sauce
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 small eggplant, sliced
- 1 small zucchini, sliced
- 1 small yellow squash, sliced
- 1 red pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow pepper, sliced
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Stir together the onion, garlic paste, and tomato sauce.
Spread into the bottom of a 9 inch pan.
Line all the chopped veggies starting on the outer edge of the dish.
Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake for 30-45 minutes and sprinkle with cheese and serve.
Tiana’s Beignets from The Princess and The Frog
Ingredients:
- 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
- 375 g warm water
- 100 g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 256 g evaporated milk
- 812.5 g bread flour
- 51.25 g shortening
- 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the warm water, sugar and yeast and stir.
Combine the eggs, evaporated milk and salt, beat until combined.
Add more bread flour at a time until the dough cleans the bowl as it mixes.
Heat vegetable oil in a Dutch oven until the temperature reaches 350 degrees.
Place a few dough squares at a time in the hot oil.
Dust with a light layer (or heavy layer) of powdered sugar.
