Lana Del Rey was born as Elizabeth Woolridge Grant on June 21, 1985, in New York City.The stage name Lana del Rey was created and inspired by the actress Lana Turner and the Ford Del Rey automobile.

·Daughter of Robert England Grant Jr. and Patricia Ann. ·She has two siblings: Caroline and Charlie. ·She grew up in the Lake Placid area of ​​New York, where she did her elementary studies at a Catholic school. ·Being a teen, she had problems with alcohol, that's why her parents sent her ,with fifteen years old, to the Kent school, a boarding school in Connecticut ·After graduating from high school, she was accepted to the State University of New York. ·However, she decided to spend a year on Long Island living with her uncle and aunt while she was working as a waitress.
