The ethnic of Cham

- Vietnam is a multi-ethnic country with 54 different ethnic groups living together. Among them, the Cham ethnic group has nearly 180,000 people and accounts for about 0.19% of Vietnam's population - They live mainly in Thuan Hai province. In addition, another part resides in An Giang, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, and Ho Chi Minh city.

- The main language of the Cham people is Champaorem -The food in Cham is very diverse and rich such as: Gingerbread, Tet cake, Rice cake, . . .

- Men wear light or dark slit blouses, short tops, split chests, short sleeves. The contours at the neck, front shank and hem are decorated and studded with circular metal pieces. - Women wear leg-covered jacket, long-sleeved tunics, super yellow, red or blue chits, long polka dotted fabrics, long dresses, white turban with embroidered flowers. - One of the customs and habits of the Cham people is the tradition of farming, irrigation and gardening, growing fruit trees, weaving, and doing small business.

- Some famous festivals are: Kate Festival, Ranuwan festival, Ba Po Nagar Tower Festival, festival praying for rain.

This is Some musical instruments of ethnic Cham

The trumpet saranai is a traditional musical instrument of the Cham people. The saranai is one of the indispensable instruments in festivalst

The gong is made of bronze, round in shape like a conical hat, about 20 cm to 60 cm in diameter.

And this is Paranung drums . The drum face is covered with goat skin, the drum body is made of wood. There are 12 holes punched around the drum body, each hole is secured with a spring roll and wrapped with rattan ropet
