"A Foreigner in Britain" was written by Ramón Ybarra and Fiona Smith, and it was published in 2001.Ramón is 86 years old, he has a child who is called Enrique Ybarra, and he is a businessman. Fiona Smith is 58 years old, and she is a very creative person because she really likes painting.

MAIN CHARACTERES

The main character of the story is Anonio. He is a Spanish young man who loves going to Britain and he goes frequently to visit his friends. He has just finished his degree and he likes travelling.

WHAT IS THE STORY ABOUT?

"A Foreigner in Britain" is a book about Britain. The main character, Antonio, is a young man who has just finished his degree at Salamanca University where he met many British students. He really likes travelling and he often travels to Britain to meet his friends. This book is about the places that he visits, new people appear such as friends or new people that he meets, the things that happened to him and his friends, the customs, the traditions and the experiences that he lived during the travels.

York is a walled city in the northeast England of Roman origin. There are many places that you shoud visit in York, like Jorvik, York Minster, York Castle Museum and York´s Chocolate story. There are many festivals during the year, the most popular are; *Lighting Festival that is celebrated in October. *The York Festival of Ghosts that is celebrated in October too. *In february the Wiking Festival is celebrated. *One of the most popular events among turists is The Food and Drink Festival.

- Manchester is an important city in the North West of Englnad whit a rich industral heritage. - There are many places that you shoud visit in Manchester, like John Rylands Library, Manchester city hall, Northern Quarter, Old Trafford, Manchester Cathedral. - There are many traditions during the year, the most popular are; *The lighting of christmas lights is celebrated in November. *The bonfire night, is a huge fair with many swings. *The pubquiz are done once a week and it´s like akind of competition.

London is a beautiful city and the capital of England and the United Kingdom. There are many places that you shoud visit in London like, Big Ben, Camden Town, Tower Bridge, Piccadilly Circus, Notting Hill, Buckingham palace, etc. There are many local parties during the year, the most popular are; *Chelsea Flower Show, is the most important and traditional plant and flower exhibition in London. *London Pride, is done to achieve equal rights. *Carnaval the Notting Hill, is the most important party. *Bankside Frost Fair, is an introduction to Christmas.

Oxford is a city in South central England who has a prestigous University. There are many places that you shoud visit in Oxford like, Christ Church College, St Mary The Virgin Church, Covered Market, Radcliffe Camera, Ashmolean Museum. There are many traditions during the year, the most popular are; *May Day, is the arrival of summer in Oxford. *Beating of the Bounds is one of the most famous tradition in Oxford. *St Giles Fair, that is a medieval trade fair to dodgems and candy floss.

PERSONAL OPINION

I think "A Foreigner in Britain" is a really good book to read because it is an easy book to read and you can learn a lot about culture, customs, etc. In conclusion, it seems really interesting to me and I have had a really good time reading it.
