It is the privacy of personal information and usually relates to personal data stored on computer systems. When information privacy is not respected, you end up with data breaches

• Don't overshare on social media
• Create strong passwords
• Use free Wi-Fi with caution
• Check to see if the site is secure

Identity theft

It is when someone uses your personal information and pretends to be you in order to commit fraud or to gain other benefits.

• Always keep your info very confident
• Create different passwords for your accounts
• Install antivirus software
• Be careful with who you share your information.

Definition: Digital Security refers to different ways of protecting computer's internet accounts and files from intrusion.

Recomendations to prevents your digitsl security being affected:

• Change your passwords.
• Delete your unused accounts.
• Use anti-virus protection.

Digital security

There was a facebook case were the digital security of 533 million users was affected because two datasets from Facebook were exposed and the information included phone numbers, account and Facebook IDs. The data was posted and all of this phone numbers popped up in the dark web as a result of the incident a security researcher added functionality to his HIBP breached credential checking site that would allow users to verify if their phone numbers had been included in the exposed dataset.
