States of Matter

Exist in 3 states: solid, liquid and gas

Matter is the substance all things are made of.

liquid states

They do not have a fixed shape but they do have volume.

Particles in liquid flow and can easily or slide past one another.

Liquids asume the shape of their containers.

solid estates

They have constant shape and volume. They are characterized by the rigidity and regularity of their structures. The particles in solid are tightly packed usually in a regular pattern.

Gas states

They have no fixed shape or volume.In them, the great variation in volume that they experience when changing temperature and pressure conditions is very characteristic. The particles in gas are well separated with no regular pattern

Changes of state are physical changes in matter.Common changes of state include melting, freezing, sublimation, deposition, condensation, and vaporization.
