THE STORY OF MY LIFE

1986

I was born on the 23rd of December

in Madrid. That's why my parents decided to call me "Belén", because it was close to Christmas Day.

Many things happened for the first time:

1989

I began speaking at the age of 3, my parents took me to Kindergarten, and I began learning English too! Also, I broke my leg whilst I was playing with my friends.

1992

I travelled alone to a foreign country

for the first time. I was only 6 years old but I really missed my friend Natasha, who had gone to France to live.

1996

I developed my artistic side.

I began playing the piano - which would go on for 10 years - and writing poetry - which I still do today!

1998

I discovered my favourite boyband

and became obsessed with them. I was listening to their music all day long.

2000

I fell in love for the first time.

With an Englishman, of course! It took me a few years to get over my platonic love for him.

2002

My parents published my first book of poetry.

2004

I graduated from school,

I was very embarrassed at first, but everyone actually liked it a lot!

having completed the IB baccalaureate, and went to university to study Spanish Philology in Madrid, where I met most of my best friends.

I passed the state exams to become a teacher

2010

and had to grow up pretty fast to measure up to what was expected of me. It has been the hardest but most enriching experience of my life.

2013

I finally managed to live on my own with my cat!

I used to share a flat with my sisters, but they married, so I stayed and bought a cat!

I'm the third from the left!
