In 2013, two years after the first import of the 7,061 Yutong buses began, several cities across Venezuela began to see parking lots filled with dozens of broken buses. In 2018, the Maduro Administration admitted that 28% of the buses were out of service and sent them for repair in 2020. Although official spokespersons have said that the great majority has been repaired, in September 2021the ARI reporting team was able to verify that there are still bus graveyards in 15 states
