HEART PULSE MEASURING CUBE

Indicator of possible disease development related to the heart.

The importance of the heart rate as an indicator the state of health of a person.

JUSTIFICATION

The possible causes of this are the little careful in our eating habits and little physical activity.

Health problems cardiovascular, (Overweight and obesity).

Data provided by the Ensanut MC (National Health and Nutrition Survey of Half way)

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Develop a device capable of measuring our heart rate effectively.Develop a device capable of measuring our heart rate effectively.

Electronic materials and classroom maker equipment from our school.

HYPOTHESIS

Obesity is a problem that concerns any country and especially countries developing like Mexico.

Heart rate is the number of times the heart beats in one minute.

INTRODUCTION

Overweight and obesity are associated with risks of increasing heart disease.

Obesity is a problem that concerns any country and especially countries developing like Mexico.

Obesity as a public health problem

Heart rate is one of the "vital signs" or important indicators of heart rate health in the human body.

It is important to identify if your heart rate is within the normal range.

Normal resting heart rate

Pulse oximeters can determine the amount of oxygen in the blood measuring an amount known as oxygen saturation (SpO2).

It is the main protein that carries oxygen in the blood, and it changes color when it binds to oxygen.

Hemoglobin

Property Number 2. The amount of light absorbed is proportional to the length of the path of light.

Property Number 1. The amount of light absorbed is proportional to the concentration of the substances they absorb.

A pulse oximeter radiates light of two wavelengths through a layer of tissue and measures the transmitted light signal.

Pulse oximetry

Develop an electronic device that is capable of measuring the heart rate by doing so visible by turning on a series of LEDs and a screen.

OBJECTIVE

Provide a device with accessible technology for all schools of all communities of Mexico, low cost, easy to use and that allows obtaining a proper diagnosis on the health of children.

MISSION

To be a company that provides quality electronic devices for the care of the health, easy access, low cost and that cares about the well-being of the children of Mexico.

VISION

Step 1. The connection of the materials as shown by the following diagram.

PHASE 1. Component connection

DEVELOPMENT AND PROCEDURES

Step 2. The code was loaded into arduino for that our arduino board follow theinstructions and interpret the data our pulse sensor.

Step 1. The box was designed using the Ink Scape program and it was verified (measures 11x11x11 cm).

PHASE 2. Elaboration of the Cube casing

Step 2. The box was cut out of MDF using the school laser cutter, said cutter is in the classroom Maker from our school.

Step 1. The connection of LEDs (parallel circuit) with help of a soldering iron and solder of tin in each of thecube faces.

PHASE 3. Leds connection and cube assembly.

Step 2. The pieces of the cube and proceed to the assembly of the casing

Step 3. It was put in place each of the components in the cube and voila.

Step 4. Operation: The cube to a light connection, we wait 5 seconds, put our index finger on the pulse sensor. Immediately the LEDs lit to the rhythm of our pulse cardiac.

The correct functionality that is to prevent possible diseases in children and give a possible diagnosis of current health status.

The cube was functional, the LEDs lit to the rhythm of the heart pulse.
