The purpose of this presentation is: 1. The good points of lesson plan 2. Point that need improvement of lesson plan .

Lesson plan

* Good point: - The lesson is to help students after learning can pronounce sounds like I and O that appear in some words, along with improving a number of skills such as: listening , reading and writing skills.

I. Objectives: Ss can pronounce the sound i, o in the words it and orange respectively. - Improve listening skill, reading and writing skill II. Language Focus: Phonics: it, orange ___ /i/ and /o/. Student can find other new word contain the soud: /i/ and /o/ III. Resources: CD, Tape, textbook, pictures.

Lesson plan

*Good point: -This activities help the effective English lesson will help student enter English lesson comfortably, naturally. - Increase long term interest when learning English * Point that need improvement : Should do the model to help to help weak students to understand and practice.

*Warm up( 3mins):- Have Ss sing the song "My new pen" - Aims: To arouse student's interest - To review the last lesson

Lesson plan

Teacher need to expand activities to help student practice more and more. for example: Asking students clap their hands on the desk or with their partner according to a principle sound-sound-word. ( i-i-It, o-o-Orange ).

*Good points: -The lesson ensure that the lesson process is correct -The words with letter : /i/ and / o/ is quite easy for student to pronounce and practice well * Points that need improvement: -

1. Listen and repeat ( 6mins)-Have Ss open the book page 62, look at the words and repeat: " it, orange " and notice the letter coloured differently in both words. - Produce the sound of the letter in the word it and o in the word orange. + i : it What colour is it? + O: orange It’s orange - Read aloud the sounds and ask Ss to repeat chorally. - Call some Ss repeat individually. - Correct their pronunciation if needed. - Activities 1( 5mins)

* Good point: Through this activity students will be more creative and flexible and also help differentiate the tiers of students. - With good students, they can find words by themselves. With weakness students, they will know more new words that their friends find out .

For example:

Add Activities ( 4mins) :The teacher asks the students to find other similar words from the words with the letters "i" and "o". ***Steps: -First, the teacher will divide the class into three groups -The next, the group will disscuss which group can say the most words will win.

/o/:on, pot,...

/i/: library ,in, pin, his,....

The lecture will be more successful if Teacher let’s students play a game at the end of this part

* Good point: -The lesson ensure that the lesson process is correct . - Vocabulary needs to be determined to fill in the missing position easily so student can listen and complete good excercise * Point that need improvement: -

- Ask Ss to pay attention to exercise 2 on page 62 - Ask Ss to read 2 sentences and guess the missing information. - Play the tape 2 times and ask Ss to listen carefully. - Ask Ss to write the words they hear then ask them check together. - Call some Ss to write their answers on the board. - Play the tape again and check with whole class. - Check and give feedback.

3. Listen and write( 12 mins)

Add activities ( 7 mins) : Find and write the words that contain these two sounds on the board ( dividing class into 3 teams. Within 5 minutes which team can write more and correct words on the board, that team win.) Good points: -This activity helps teacher differentiate the tiers of students also makes students more flexible. -With good students, they can find and write words by themselves. With weakness students, they can not write words but want to play game so they will open book to find words. Or sometimes they think a word but do not know how to write. They will ask their friends for helping .

REFLECTION:

Good point:- The lesson ensure that the lesson process is correct. - The action is also suitable for student at the grade 3 Point that need improvement: - When chant, Ss will make a noise : So teacher should set the rule for Ss before starting - Should review the main vocabulary in previous lesson such as: red, orange, blue, black... through the activities +

- Ask Ss reading the chant in their books one time. - Play the CD one time. - Play one by one sentence and ask Ss read follow the CD - Call on a group of six: three of them to repeat each line of the chant. - Show Ss how to say the chant and do the actions. - Have Ss practice the chant in groups and clap the syllables. - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors.

4.Let's chant. (9mins)

REFLECTION: *Good point:-This activity will students apply the knowledge the have learned in life -Thereby, teachers can grasp the learning situation of each student.

A:What colour is it? B: It's pink.
For example:

Procedure( 5mins) : The teachers asks the student to discuss with the partner about the colors of the surrounding objects * Step: -The first, Ss can choose any thing and ask partner about its colour -If enough time, teacher can some group to the board to practice

5. Home link( 1 mins) : - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern.
