We usually tend to see that men overshadowing the role of women in history. However, we are going to unpack the role of the women in history. In more depth, we will see their roles in the "American Revolution". Most people will probably think that the women did not do anyhting in the American Revolution. They did a lot of thingsWhat did they do. After all, they say 'Behind every successful man is a woman'. And there were more men meaning more women behind their sucess.....

A sticky note ig.

Great WOmen Who actually Helped!

Daborah Sampson

She decided to takes Margaret and Molly as inspiration to fight in the war so she crossdressed. She became Robert Shurtleft (as disgiuse) and joined the army but after she joined the army, she got hurt, she was afraid she would get exposed and eventually she did exposed. But still it was her thought that made her a great woman.

Molly Pitcher

Her intial job was to pass out water. One day in action her husband got injured so instead of passing water she decided to be a gunman instead of him. Very Brave and Courageous. She was awarde and work time pension.

Margaret Corbin

Philliss Wheatley

After her husband died, she brave enough to take up the position of the cannon and she started spunging and loading it. But in the war, she was physically disabled. But she paid with disabled veterans pesion.

She was a african-american slave and she wrote poetry about various subjects and the most famous topic was about moral and peace. She was slave and was freed after her master died. This shows how woman like her can influence some wars.

Women Soldiers

We know about some women who helped with the war and all but I'd like to discuss the women soldiers from the patriot and the colonists side. Betty Zane, colonist, saved a fort that was under siege by Native Americans by carrying gunpowder to get the depleted supply of the colonial forces. Rebecca Barrett, wife of a Concord, hid military stores and equipment on her farm, then remained at home to protect her family and property from the British. She fed the British soldiers, but she did not take the money from them saying that its a, “the price of blood”. After the men died, women in Massachusetts decided to form a group of women and dress like men and patrol the city. Other women soldiers would hide the secret militia information and sneak it to the other territory. These women were like double agents. They would sneak this information past the british and give it to the americans. Although some may be double agents, most of time women soldiers are inspirational to tke risks to fight for freedom.

thanks!

Women had the same impact as the men in the american revolution, because they also boycotted, fought in the battle, and also wrote some good letters. We need to give them the same amount of respect we give men who fought those battles.
