REFLECTION

The first summative test for this quarter includes the lessons of the first to fourth week. The items of the test consist of functions, relationship, domain, range, intercept, asymptotes, and so on. The questions we’re quite hard and a little confusing. I got 4 mistakes on this test but because of the technical problems of the form, I didn’t get a chance to show my mistakes and put corrections on them. Because of the mistakes I made, I learned from it to take things slow and make sure I’m solving it in the correct way. I’m still happy with the results of my test and I hope I can improve myself in these kinds of topics and questions in the future.

REFLECTION

The second and last summative test on this quarter are mainly about exponential functions, tables of values and word problems. I made an improvement with this summative test. During discussions, I was a little bit left behind since I’m not a fast learner and I tend to take things slow. I made one mistake in this test, which was given in the correction part. Even though I didn’t get a chance to perfect this summative, I am still glad that I’m having improvements and having new knowledge each week of the first quarter.

The second quarter modules are all about simple interest, compound interest, annuity, stocks and bonds, consumer loans and lastly, propositions. The lessons for this quarter are mainly about business math which focuses on computational methods and formulas. In the first summative test, I got 3 wrong answers while in the second summative test, I got 4 mistakes which is kind of disappointing for me since I was hoping for a higher score for my second summative test since I already got 3 mistakes on the first one. Thankfully, I got a plus 3 for my second ST because of the webinar. It was a really big help for my score. I learned from my mistakes from the tests and promise to work hard and improve from it. Still, I’m happy and grateful for the results of my summative tests.

In this quarter, we learned about statistics and probability. The lessons were all about random variables and probability distribution, mean of a discrete, normal distribution, sampling, central limit theorem, t-distribution, and sample size. In the first summative, I got 2 wrong answers. The questions were about what is the exact probability and how I can know the probability base on a graph. Meanwhile, I also got 2 wrong answers for my second summative. I chose the wrong answer for the meaning of standard error of mean and I wasn’t able to find the right t-value for the given question. I was hoping to get a higher score my second summative, but I’m still grateful that I passed both of the exam. With these mistakes, I will improve myself and work hard in this subject. I’m hoping to learn more and challenge myself in this branch of mathematics.
