Working in non-native environment, but bearing in mind that our task is teaching a foreign language, we see some important goals of motivation in: • Fulfilling university requirements • Improving one’s education • Improving critical and creative thinking skills • Increasing job opportunities and salary potential • Increasing global understanding, etc. A teacher should put a strong focus on the stu dent’s motives to be able to accommodate them.”
