GENERATIVE GRAMMAR

GENERATIVE GRAMMAR

Generative grammar is a theory of grammar that holds that human language is formed by a set of basic principles that are part of the human brain, present in the brain at birth. This "universal grammar," according to linguists such as Noam Chomsky, comes from our innate linguistic faculty.

CHOMSKY TREE

Chomsky's tree rules are intended to show which verb can be placed in which sentence pattern, while the characteristics of different NPs with VP are specified in the selection rules. To explain this in more detail in the formation of a sentence.
