02 PAST PERFECT SIMPLE

FORM:- AFF: Subj + had + past participle form of verb e.g. I had studied for the exam - NEG: Subj + hadn't + past participle form of verb e.g. I hadn't bought a house - INT: Had + subj + past participle of the verb e.g. Had you studied for the exam? Yes, I had / No, I hadn't

Past Simple

Past Perfect Simple

Used to describe actions that happened before a specific point in the past. It refers to the MORE DISTANT ACTION.E.g. When I arrived, the class had finished.
