The success and outcome of this project required a lot of guidance and assistance from many people and we were extremely fortunate to have got this all along with the completion of our project. Whatever we have done is only due to such guidance and assistance and we should not forget to thank them. I respect and thank Mr.Harun Samat for giving us an opportunity to do this project and providing us all support and guidance which made us complete the project on time. We are extremely grateful to him for providing such nice support. We are really grateful because we managed to complete this project within the time given by Mr.Harun. This project cannot be completed without the effort and co-operation of our group members. Group member's Amiera Nabila, Putri Anis Qistina, Nur Hanini Khairina and Nur Khadijah. Last but not least, we would like to express our gratitude to our friends for their support and willingness to spend some time with us.
introduction
There are various activities that can be carried out to determine the colour changes of ingredients used in daily life such as tap water, carbonated drinks, coffee water, lemon juice and so on. To determine the pH value we need a pH indicator to identify whether the substances are acidic, alkaline or neutral. Apart from the pH indicators found in chemical laboratories, we can also use natural ingredients such as purple cabbage.
3. objective
identify substances that have been found in a chemical
understand the uses of chemicals in daily life
appreciate the importance of the use of chemicals especially those involving ionic compounds and covalent compounds
project title
manufacture of pH indicator using purple cabbage.

Vegetable pigments that can dissolve in water are major types of all natural edible pigment. Cabbage pigment is one of the newly developped vegetable pigments. This thesis measures absorbent spectrum of cabbage pigment and the suitable condition on which it appears purple. The thesis also observes that different pH influence the pigment and that these additions have an influence on its stability in the daylight. The thesis provides some bases for development and application of cabbage pigment.
Lemon juice has a low pH, mainly due to the high concentration of citric acid. Don't be confused about the pH of lemon juice and its effects on your body. Lemons and other citrus fruits have acidic juice. This means their pH is less than 7
13. knowledges
Bleach is one of the most common cleaning supplies in households and commercial settings. This particular product has a pH between 11 and 13. Its high level of alkalinity is what makes it corrosive
