GROUP OPINION ABOUT THE CONTRIBUTION OF THEIR EXHIBITION IN OUR SUBJECT

We believe that Orff methodology together with its instruments are very useful when teaching the class and also accessible for all types of schools and for any type of child since no previous musical preparation is needed. It helps students to familiarize themselves in a musical environment in a simple and fun way through rhythms. For example, on the first day of class we use Orff techniques to introduce ourselves through rhythm, movement and words (our names).

02

Active participation of students.

It encourages creativity and experimentation as a means of learning.

Improves linguistic competence.

Promotes respect and values present in life in society.

It uses simple musical instruments, such as the drum or the flute.

It develops self-knowledge through the learning of music.

In General

Its basic pedagogical ideas are:

He elaborates rhythmic and melodic exercises, where activities for percussion instruments , flutes, etc. appear.

Avoid excessive theorization.

Giving importance to the child's way of being and behavior.

Insistence on three concepts: word, music and movement.

Particular examples of the methodology

"because its bonds with the folkloric tradition of the place where this method is practised, the texts, dances and songs must be taken from the corresponding cultural scene. (Orff, 1975)"
