The Interactive Research Methods Lab is an innovative space in the Bagwell College of Education (Kennesaw State University) with the aim of challenging the mainstream approach to the teaching and learning of research methods in education.
The Lab offers an interactive nine-step itinerary enriched with Augmented Reality Multimedia Contents for students and faculty to learn qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research.

The Interactive Research Methods Lab is a natural extension/evolution of Hopscotch.
A theoretical model and a webtool to help novice researchers generate solid and well-informed research designs in Social Sciences and Education
Hopscotch proposes the following nine steps to develop well-informed research designs

1. A Physical Lab located in room BEB 403 of the Chantal & Tommy Bagwell College Education Building

In this physical space, students and faculty can interact with interactive content that guides them through the nine steps involved in designing a methodologically sound research design.

The dry-erase walls of the lab can be used to write down ideas supporting their research designs.

2. The Lab also offers a virtual space at https://irml.kennesaw.edu
This space includes a 360° virtual tour that replicates the experience students have in the physical space.

In addition to the 360° virtual tour, the virtual lab also offers:
A set of resources curated by our graduate librarian for each step of the process to generate well-informed research designs
A set of lessons collaboratively created by the Interactive Research Methods Lab Team and colleagues who used the lab in their courses.
A “pocket version” of the lab which can be downloaded and printed.
