Meaning

  • Is used for the past action , already finished when another past action.
  • For the past action that starded in the past and continued up to a give time in the past.
  • For unreal or imaginary things, wishes in the past.
  • In reported speech after verbs like, said, told, asked etc.

Correlative Conjuctions.

Meaning

  • Conjuctions: Are simple words to connect words, phrases or clauses.
  • There are a pairs of conjuctions called: Correlative conjuctions.
  • Correlative conjunctions correlate, working in pairs to join phrases or words that carry equal importance within a sentence.
  • Correlative conjunctions are stronger than coordinating conjunctions and emphasize the relationship between the ideas being joined.
