Progressive Forms
To -ing or not to -ing
Some English verbs do not allow or do not require the use of progressive forms.It depends on the lexical meaning of the verb.To learn more about it, please, study this mindmap.

Some durative verbs can be used both with simple and progressive tenses.He has slept for 10 hours. = He has been sleeping for 10 hours. It has snowed for a long time. = It has been snowing for a long time. They have lived here for 10 years.
