Now they are very clear about how the class works and we have to introduce new things so that the routine continues to be the tool that helps us to fix the content and not the boring part of the class.
The dynamics of the class are very well established and it is easier day by day. In the first term we continue to use the same routines in songs etc, and then expand on them. The stories can also be more complicated.
In this course the most important thing is to attract their attention so that the English class is attractive and fun for them and that when they enter the class they shout: Teacher!
SAME WAY, DIFFERENT STEPS
CONTENTS • In the second cycle of Infant Education, pupils will be introduced to a first approach to the foreign language. METHODOLOGY • The working methods will be based on experiences, activities and play. • Educational content organised in areas…globalised activities that have interest and meaning for the children. Routine situations in daily life in schools will be the backbone of these activities. EVALUATION • Assessment will be global, continuous and formative. • Direct and systematic observation, the main assessment technique. • To identify the learning acquired, the pace and characteristics of the pupil's evolution.
curriculum
• Develop communication skills in different languages and forms of expression. AREA Languages: communication and representation. OBJECTIVES 1. Use language as a tool for communication, representation, learning and enjoyment, and for the expression of ideas and feelings, and to value oral language as a means of relationships with others and as a means of regulating coexistence. 2. Express emotions, feelings, desires and ideas through oral language and through other languages, choosing the one which best suits them. 3. Understand the intentions and messages of other children and adults, adopting a positive attitude towards language, both their own and that of others. 4. Understand, reproduce and recreate some literary texts, showing attitudes of appreciation, enjoyment and interest in them. 5. Be introduced to the social uses of reading and writing, exploring how they work and valuing them as an instrument of communication, information and enjoyment. 6. To approach the knowledge of artistic works expressed in different languages and to carry out activities of artistic representation and expression through the use of different languages. 7. Be introduced to the oral use of a foreign language in order to communicate in classroom activities, and show interest and enjoyment in the classroom and show interest and enjoyment when participating in these communicative exchanges.
curriculum
• The language we use must be focused exactly on the content we teach. • They need to be exposed to the language but at the same time feel that they are beginning to understand the "weird" language that the teacher speaks.
type of language
In the school timetable, it is better to place English classes in the first hours but not before recess because it is their lunch break. If it is not possible in the early hours, it is better to place them in the first hour after recess.
where to place classes in the school timetable
- 176 School days.
- 34 hours of English (more or less) in an ordinary schoo.

As the time we have in English class is so little, an ace in the hole that will never fail us is to BE ROUTINE. We have to REPEAT every day what we want them to learn.

We must repeat daily the song or rhyme for an extended period of time that we want the pupils to learn.

Be enthusiast and creative. Motivate your students with activities where they feel safe and they have fun. They can learn the English you can teach in one hour a week, it seems little English, but if you choose it well, it will be a lot. Prepare more activities than you need, and be clear about your time and you will always be in control of the class and avoid misbehaviour.
