LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF

Hello! My name is María (or Ms. Martin) and I have been an English teacher for over 18 years. It is the fifth year that I teach in the Tourism Vocational Training Degree, and I am excited about this new course. I am from Estepona, but I have lived (and also worked) in many different places (Málaga, England, the USA, etc.)

Three interesting or important things about myself:

I love learning new things related to my job and also related to other subjects. That is why I have many hobbies and interests, among which are travelling, reading, doing sports (running, crossfit, tennis), watching films/ series, playing the piano (just a beginner), photography, hiking, etc.

I am a very tenacious and disciplined person, which has helped me achieve some of my goals, such as becoming a teacher, running a half marathon, etc....

I really enjoy and value the time that I spend with my family and friends.

TWO OR THREE ACTIVITIES/ THINGS THAT I COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT

Sport (it keeps me physically and mentally healthy).

Travelling (one of my greatest passions).

Reading (a reader lives a thousand lives before he dies).

Reasons why I am a teacher: 1. Because I like to think that I contribute somehow to making the world a better place and also I want to help my students achieve their goals and (maybe) become better persons. 2. Because I love learning, and in this job (teaching) you never stop learning: taking, training courses, studying, creating new materials, from my colleagues, but especially from MY STUDENTS.

Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.

THANK YOU!
