George Washington Playground Procedures
Only one class at a time will be on the playground during school hours.
Playground will be for GW students only from 8:45am-3:30pm.
GW School Arrival Procedures/Llegada a la Escuela

Children's House students (3 year-olds, 4 year-olds, and kindergarteners will enter through the side entrance by the side parking lot of 67 Wall Street.
E1 Students (1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade) and 4th grade, Special Education Students, and Walkers will arrive and enter through the auditorium doors
If you arrive late (8:55 AM) You must walk your child to the front entrance of the GW school and ring the bell. Our door monitor Ms. Vanessa Umbro will be out to greet you and have you sign in your child!
GW School Dismissal Procedures/Procedimiento de despido escolar de GW
Students will begin being dismissed at 3:00 pmLos estudiantes comienzaran a ser despedidos a las 3:00 pm
Parents/Legal Guardians of E1 Students, Special Education students, and Walkers will enter the auditorium doors and get their child from their teacher.
Children's House students (3's, 4's) Dismiss at 2pm, and Kindergarteners Dismiss at 3pm exit here. Side Parking Lot of 67 Wall Street.
Buses pull in from Washington Avenue at 3:00 pm
Parents/Legal Guardians of 4th grade students will enter through the gym doors and get their child from their teacher.

- If your child is absent for any reason OTHER THAN being ill (vacation, Dr. appt, etc.), please notify the school and/or send in a note stating the dates of the abscences and return date.
- If your child is absent because of an illness, please click here to see our procedures for returning to school.
- If your child needs to be picked up early, please send him or her in with a note so that we are prepared to dismiss them. If a student needs to be picked up early it must be done BEFORE 2:45. Early pickups will not be permitted between 2:45 and 3:00.

- Breakfast and lunch are free for all GW students.
- Breakfst begins at 8:30am, please enter through the front doors of 67 Wall Street if your child will be eating breakfast.
- Students are NOT REQUIRED to eat breakfast at school.

- Lunches will be served in the cafeteria.
- Students will have recess outside weather permitting.

Picking Up Your Child
- If your child needs to be picked up early, please send him or her in with a note so that we are prepared to dismiss them. If a student needs to be picked up early it must be done BEFORE 2:45. Early pickups will not be permitted between 2:45 and 3:00.
- Please walk up to the front of the school at 67 Wall Street and ring the bell. Ms. Vanessa will be out to greet you and will bring your child to you!
