What is that?

What is the first Conditional?

The first conditional is used to express the future consequence of a realistic possibility now or in the future.

IF CLAUSE (IC)

1. A conditional sentence has always two clauses. One of them is the IF CLAUSE
2. This clause starts using the word "IF"
3. IN THE FIRST CONDITIONAL the IC is written in "SIMPLE PRESENT"
4. The general meaning of an IC is "if something happens,.."
5. An IC could be at the sentence's beginning or end.

The MAIN CLAUSE (MC)

1. IN THE FIRST CONDITIONAL the MC is written in "FUTURE (WILL)"
2. The general meaning of the MC is "the result will be..."

First Conditional

MAIN CLAUSE I'll stay at home.

IF CLAUSE If it rains tomorrow,

FIRST CONDITIONAL SENTENCEIf it rains tomorrow, I'll stay at home.

If I visit the city, there will be several things I expect to do to make the most of my experience. If there is a renowned art gallery, I will definitely visit it to admire the masterpieces on display. Additionally, if I find myself in a bustling city, I will try out different cuisines at local restaurants. Moreover, if the city has iconic landmarks or architectural wonders, I will make it a point to visit them. If there is a towering skyscraper with an observation deck, I will ascend to enjoy breathtaking views of the cityscape. If there is a historic monument or a grand cathedral, I will take the time to appreciate its beauty and significance.
