Surely, someone may say that Human are not irretional biengs. We are clearly not driven by obssesive persuit for perfection. i hope to show you that improvement promissed by genetic engineering, requires the sacrefice of our core values. ultimatly undermining the core nature of humanity.

Genitic engineering could agument our physical strength and our mental cepacity. Inceresing our life span and our focus. Becomeing stronger and smarter is universly desireble and very relatable. But this in itself does not fundamentaly alter nature of humanity. It is an implication of makeing this changes through tool such as CRISPR, That should be the cause of consern.

Consider our obcession over cosmatic surgery, or our contineued subjugation of animal to mindless testing so as to push the limits of science. Or the evil broughtout by in Humankind, As Neuclear energy has became one of the gretest danger to Human. Today or indeed our over jealous egerness at mere thought of being able to design our very own offsprings like handbags, cloaths or shoes. This removes the fundamental ethical boundries between consumer comodeties and Human Beings. Unfortunatly, I am affride that we have grants farless optimism then you think while determine to and in the hope of our core aspect of humanity.

Such technology puts power of defining physical and mental characterstics that shape your life into the hands of other humans. reduceing our very self into something that they have the ability to mould. when our attributes are predetermined and preselected for others, by others before we are even born. Our success are caused by science rather then by our own efforts. shifting the sence of achivement and fulfilment from us to the person who chose our genetic makeup.

For instance, breaking an athletic world record after a countless failuer and years of deciplined training seems intiutively have more value then breaking this record due to genetic enhanced cepablities. This is because praise for the success is directed towards the athlites in former case, while it is directed towards the person who inhanced the athlites abilities in leter.

A world in which genetic engineering prevails. thereby diminishes Human agency and merit also erodes the value of Human strength, perseviarence and Hope in the phase of struggle. why would the athelite persevere in training for the race, if there genetic makeup have been specifically chosen for them to excell in sprinting.

Were would the beauty be in Hopeing to achive there dream without the knowledge of whether they will attain, if they know there capablities has allready been chosen by an external influence for them to successed. As such flawlessness becomes the norm . The worth of Determination and Hope to value at the core of our spirit is diminished. There must be criticisesm at this line of arguement. The primery one being that , surely it is worth it, to there values in a world without suffering. were there is no need for them at first place.
