What is the course?
Gets you to investigate and reflect about a range of global issues from different perspectives – the personal, local, national and global • Multi-disciplined: you will study everything from sport to climate change to law • Skills based: you will develop a range of skills, including planning, research, collaboration, evaluation, reasoning, critical thinking and communication skills • Emphasises cross-cultural collaboration – at times you will carry out individual research into a topic of your choice, but you will also work on a group project, involving 2 or 3 other students from the class, and students in other schools and countries

There are three compoents and these will be your assessments as well. Each component has a selection of topics assigned to it.

Individual Report (IR)
andidates write an Individual Report on one global topic from a choice of eight. With the guidance of their teacher, candidates choose from one of the specified topic areas and devise a global research question. Candidates use this question as the title for their report. The report must be between 1500 and 2000 words.
Candidates answer four compulsory questions based on source material. Candidates write all their answers in the space provided on the question paper.
Candidates devise and develop a collaborative project into an aspect of one topic from a choice of eight. Candidates submit work for two elements: Team and Personal.
