Why these songs fit Beowulf

Immigrant Song by Led Zepellin is a song that is meant to be humorous in a way but also adventurous in a way that relates to viking,s. It perfectly relates to Beowulf because he is basically a viking, or at least a brave warrior. The song makes you feel excited as if something big is happening, a meaning that fits Beowulf as he is someone that is seeking out new and exciting challenges whenever he gets the chance. Pride by Kendrick Lamar is a song that is about pride and the dangers of having much of it. It is a great fit for Beowulf as it represents a key characteristic of him. Beowulf seeks out challenges to gain glory and has great pride in himself and his achievements. Early on in the song it even says "pride is gonna be the death of you and me", something that is actually true in the case of Beowulf, who meets his end after taking on a challenge that was far too much for him. We Are The Champions by Queen presents a sense of triumph and joy. This similar feeling has been portrayed within Beowulf, such as the feast and the celebrations after the death of Grendels mother. He destroys his enemies and is in great joy whenever he achieves his goals. He and his people celebrate after his successes; they celebrate the champion that is Beowulf. Stronger by Kanye West puts forth the message that, through adversity and challenge, it is important to become greater. This is a song that Beowulf would enjoy because, with each of his accomplishments, Beowulf seeks to gain glory and a greater reputation as well as more strength and determination. An example of such an event is when Beowulf was forced to use all his might and newfound strength in order to lift a blade and kill Grendel's mother. See You Again by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth is a song that represents a sentimental and sad side of Beowulf that may not necessarily be evident but is likely present. It is somewhat seen when Beowulf dies and says farewell to Wiglaf, leaving his legacy with him. As a warrior and leader, Beowulf has likely seen the death of several of his own people, people who sacrificed themselves for him, a weight that would weigh on Beowulf's heart.
