Task Aid : A ‘Smart’ Service Hiring Application using recommender systems.

Introduction

Task Aid is a project that provides a platform to connect users that are looking for jobs based on their skills with customers that would like to be assisted with those skills at a specific fee. The application implements a machine learning based recommender system to guide customers towards taskers that meet their needs.

Specific Objectives

• To analyze existing similar applications or websites.
• To investigate the challenges experienced by people when looking to be assisted with something as well as challenges experienced by job seekers.
• To design an application and train the data that will be used to assist in connecting people seeking part time jobs with those seeking assistance.
• To develop the designed application and integrate the recommender system.
• To test the developed application to find any shortcomings and updating them.
