My Mathography

How do you feel about math in general?

What has been your best experience in a math class?

What has been your least favorite math experience?

In what ways have you used math outside of school?

What are your expectations for math this year?

What do you think yourstrengths are in math (everybody has one)?

My least favorite math experience was in sixth grade because we did a lot of work under pressure. For example we had 5 min. to work on a problem.

My expectations for math this year is to be interesting, dynamic and a bit relaxed because I have a bad habit of stressing so I'm going to stop doing that and enjoy math class.

I love finance so I do a lot of money calculations and estimations. For example I always do accounting with my mom.

My best experience in math class was in seventh grade because we did a lot of fun activites like tic tac toe with math.

I either feel two ways either I love it or I get frustrated really easily. The latter usually happens when I don't understand and get anxious.

My strengths are algebra and estimations. I also like to work on a grid or show graphs.

Where do you think that you have the most room to improve?

Do you think that math tests are hard? Explain why.

How do you study for a math test?

Who do you get help from when you need help in math?

What do you think I should know about you so I can help you?

Do you learn best from reading, listening, or doing (specifically for math)?

Math tests are trying to outwit everyone so I think they are based more on logic and organization. Hence they are not hard they just are playing mind games with you. So I find them a bit confusing at times.

I practice for a short amount of time each day with practice problems from the class or internet.

When I need help in math I go to office hours or I write an email to the teachers. If that option is not available I ask my mom to help me out.

I have a bad habit of being anxious and getting frustrated. So I would really appreciate it if perhaps you can give me some positive words or patience if I'm taking too long to understand.

I think I learn best from practice and interactive worksheets in a fun way.

I think geometry is where I really need to improve. I also get confused easily with word problems.
