Form & uses
1- We use should or shouldn’t + verb to give advice or to make suggestions.
Examples: . You should try to order the food your host recommends during a business lunch.
. We shouldn’t greet someone we don’t know by their first name.
2- We often use I think or I don't think to say something is or is not a good idea. Examples: . I think you should avoid doing overtime. . I don’t think you should wear casual clothes for a dinner party.
3- We can use should to ask for advice or recommendations. Examples: Should I apologise to him? Yes, I think you should. You were very rude! What time should we deliver the report? By EOD today.
