Germán Alejandro Garmendia Aranis was born in Copiapó (Chile) on April 25, 1990, but after the loss of his father in a car accident he traveled to various places with his brother and mother, until finally settling on the coast of Los Vilos, at north of Santiago.

He uploaded his first HolaSoyGerman video in September 2011, after being encouraged by a friend. At first his videos were humorous and dealt with everyday life situations.

Despite his great success on YouTube as a comedian, his great passion has always been music, and at age 13 he formed a band with his brother. In fact, over time he created a group called "Feeling Every Sunset", dedicating a lot of time to it, although in the end it did not turn out as expected.
