The most Ecuador festivals that I like are: La fiesta de las flores y de las frutas, La diablada Pillareña, El Inti raimy, La pasada del divino niño and El año viejo.

La fiesta de las flores y las frutas
It is an Ambato festival celebrated on 12 February. It is a memorial to the city's residents who lost their possessions and others even their lives as a result of the earthquake on August 5, 1949. That is why Los Ambateños celebrated this festival because it represents their effort to work together until reconstruct the city. At this festival, there are some events like folklore dance, floats which are decorated with flowers and fruits.
LA DIABLADA PILLAREÑA
It is the Pillaro festival celebrated against Españoles' beliefs so many years ago. This celebration caught my view because of the type of dance and the special mask that dancers use.
El Inti raimy
The Inti Raymi is a traditional religious ceremony celebrated in honor of the god Inti (Sun). It is celebrated by the indigenous. For this everyone brings food, and then they eat with their hands and sit on the floor. They believe that if they eat on the floor they make a special connection with Mother Nature.
El Año viejo
La fiesta de las flores y las frutas
El año Viejo is an Ecuador festival celebrated with all happiness. It is about saying goodbye to the year that ends up burning with año Viejo and with that everything bad that could have happened and harboring the hope that the new year will come loaded with positive energy. Also at this festival, there are men who dress up as widows to collect money. They put on dances in the streets, interrupting the transportation.
