INTRODUCTION
The book is about an orphan girl who lives with her aunt and cousins in Gateshead Hill. They treated her like a maid until Jane goes to a school for young ladies where she learns to be a "decent and qualified woman." Jane ends up working as a governess at Thornfield Hall, in the service of Mr. Rochester. There, she falls in love with him. Although he was married to Bertha Mason, he also asks Jane to marry him. She accepted because she didn´t know, but she finds out on the wedding day and leaves the mansion. Later, she meets St. John Rivers, who saves her life. And then, he asks her to marry him, but Jane is unable to accept since she is still in love with Mr Rochester. It´s then when she returns to the mansion to look for him.

WRITER
Charlotte Brontë was an English novelist and poet, the eldest of the three Brontë sisters whose words became classics of English literature. Charlotte Brontë was born in Thornton, Yorkshire, United Kingdom, and she was the daughter of Patrick Brontë, an Irish clergyman, who was also a writer. She became pregnant shortly after her marriage in June 1854, but died on 31 March 1855, almost certainly from hyperemesis gravidarum, a complication of pregnancy that causes excessive nausea and vomiting.

PERSONAL OPINION
Jane Eyre is a book that I have enjoyed reading. It´s an inspiring and emotional book. I love the feminist character of Jane Eyre despite the age of the novel. (1847) Jane fights for her independence, dignity and freedom. In addition to the love story, that also adds emotion to the book.
