PERFORMANCE TASKS
There are a lot of things that have happened for the past several months. As an influencer, you have decided to design and create a unique character that will be used to promote awareness, appreciation, or critique of what is happening in the country (i.e. COVID-19 Response, Vaccination Program, Human Rights, Health Care System, Red-tagging, and Education System) especially to the young ones like you. Hence, the character need not be biased. The challenge is to make a character using concepts of conic sections and other equations or functions. As the influencer, you are tasked to create and present a character design that will suit your current advocacy. This will be done using the desmos application (or any graphing application if desmos is not available or compatible with your equipment). Moreover, you are to make a detailed report of the conic sections and other equations or functions applied and a well-documented proceeding through pictures with captions. Finally, you are to answer the following questions below. 1. What makes the design unique? 2. What is its edge over the designs utilized already in promoting awareness, appreciation, or critique of the event/issue you chose? 3. How does this promote awareness, appreciation, or critique of the event/issue you chose? You are to be evaluated according to the following criteria: Content (30%), Accuracy (30%), Creativity (20%), Completeness (10%), and Cooperation (10%).
PERFORMANCE TASKS
This year, the AdNU SHS Magazine is featuring the top 10 most interesting pictures of pattern/sequence. The company is looking for amateur photographers in the country who can deliver the content of the pictures effectively and accurately. Though the technicalities in photography are given importance, the contents of the pictures are to be emphasized more especially that these contents should be described using mathematical statements showing sequences and/or series. As one of the invited amateur photographers, you are tasked to capture any interesting pattern/sequence in your chosen genre or theme (e.g. nature, game, structures, or human body) which can be found in your home or any place near your home as well as a detailed explanation and solution of the mathematical statement that is shown in your picture. Your output will be evaluated according to the following criteria: Content (30%), Accuracy (35%), Technicalities (20%), Completeness (10%), and Cooperation (5%).
PERFORMANCE TASKS
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is conducting a land survey on the most commonly used building height on residential houses. This survey focuses on the accuracy of measurement of the building. Moreover, the solutions to this survey must involve the applications of trigonometry. As one of the architects in the survey, you are tasked to approximate the height of your house using the practical concepts of trigonometry by creating a clinometer (an example of creating a clinometer can be found through this link: https://www.instructables.com/id/Basic-Clinometer-From-Classroom-Materials/, however you can still search for other ways of creating the instrument). Moreover, you are to make a detailed explanation and solution which should be well-documented through pictures with captions. You are to be evaluated according to the following criteria: Content (30%), Accuracy (35%), Creativity (20%), Completeness (10%), and Cooperation (5%).
