Leader's Reply
How to structure the Leader's Reply in a debate - (1st or 2nd speaker of Negative team, then the Affirmative team)
SUMMARISE
Give the key arguments your team has made in a summary form.
Analyse
Evaluate
State what the main POINTS OF CLASH were by grouping the main issues together thematically. Explain HOW you have effectively dealt with the opposition's points when you rebutted them.
Explain why your team's arguments are far superior to the opposing team's. Convince the adjudicator that your points were the best.
WHAT NOT TO DO
Don't introduce any NEW MATERIAL in the Leader's Reply. Don't just repeat your team's points.
