Phrasal Verbs with "along"

Vocabulary Workshop

Come along: To arrive or appear; to go with someone,to exist, to develop, to advance or improve.

To Sing Along: To keep singing while others are singing as well.

Play Along:

  1. To do what other people say for a short time.
  2. To pretend to agree with sothing or someone.

Walk Along

To follow, to keep walking on the road.

Examples

Molly asked Lucy to play along with whatever information they agreed at the meeting.

Please, walk along the first avenue and then turn to your left. The drugstore is next to the bakery.

Daniel was singing along with his friends while the band was playing at the concert.

My best friend came along with me to pick up the TV and the stereo.
