1989

Founding YONGLI in Shanghai China

Mr. Pei Hao Shi founded YONGLI Plastic-Rubber Industry & Commerce. The company began to introduce European thermoplastic light-weight conveyor belts into the Chinese market, both for sales and services.

1999

Shanghai YONGLI BELTING

Shanghai YONGLI Belting was formally established as a sales agency for the distribution of light-weight conveyor belts (PVC, TPO, TPU, TPEE).

2002

First self-owned production site

Xujing Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai, YONGLI invested in the construction of the first self-owned production site for conveyor belts, covering a total area of 5.11 acres. Including research and development, production and fabrication for light-weight conveyor belts.

2004

Establishing YONGLI Europe

Aris Wind and Remko van Hove set up YONGLI Europe in the Netherlands. The company started the European distribution of conveyor belts that were produced in China.

2006

Shanghai YONGLI Conveying System

Shanghai YONGLI Conveying System was set up in Shanghai Chongming Industrial Park, becoming the global manufacturing base for conveyor belts. With an area of more than 120 acres there was plenty of space for future growth.

2009

YONGLI Belting Group joined the NIBA

The YONGLI Group successfully joined the NIBA (National Industrial Belting Association) in North America market.

2010

European production in the Netherlands

YONGLI R&D was set up in Oudkarspel, the Netherlands. The start of a roll production site in Europe improved the European availability of YONGLI conveyor belts and brought more flexibility into delivery times and product customization.

2011

Shenzhen Stock Exchange

YONGLI Belting was successfully listed in the Growth Enterprise Market of Shenzhen Stock Exchange, stock code: 300230.

2013

YONGLI Korea & YONGLI Poland

YONGLI Korea, in Seoul, serves the Korean conveyor belt market and develops belt fabrication machinery. YONGLI Poland, located in Czersk, is the first European YONGLI branch that can serve local end users and OEM’s.

2015

YONGLI America, Germany and Austria

YONGLI America was established in Portage, Indiana, USA to serve local business through quick response, and eventually increases YONGLI’s strength in North America market. YONGLI Germany and YONGLI Austria strengthen the position of YONGLI in Europe and ensure the best service to local end user and OEM markets.

2016

YONGLI Indonesia

YONGLI Indonesia was established in Jakarta, Indonesia to serve the local market for conveyor- and modular belts.

2017

Acquisition of Wellwaij Belting, the Netherlands

YONGLI took over the company Wellwaij Belting, in the Netherlands. The acquisition follows after 10 years of successful collaboration and ensures continuity for the over 70 employees.

2019

YONGLI Japan

YONGLI Japan was established. YONGLI Japan serves the local market for conveyor belts.

2020

RF Clarke, in Northern Ireland

YONGLI took over the company RF Clarke, in Northern Ireland. After having been an independent company for 100 years, RF Clarke has entered into a partnership with YONGLI Belting to ensure that the business continues to thrive into its second century.

YONGLI Europe expands production

YONGLI Europe expands by building a new production facility. The new facility will house two production lines and a small coating/profiling line. The existing premises will remain and are used to increase stock levels.
