What is Ecosystem?
An ecosystem is a community of living organisms (plants, animals and microbes) in a particular area. An ecosystem is a community of organisms and their physical environment interacting together.
Terrestrial Ecosystem
Terrestrial ecosystem is a land-based community of organisms and the interactions of biotic and abiotic components in a given area. It include the tundra, taigas, temperate deciduous forests, tropical rainforests, grasslands, and deserts.
Forest Ecosystem
Forests consist not only of living components like trees, animals, plants, and other living things but also of nonliving components such as soil, water, air, and landforms.
Grassland Ecosystem
A grassland is an area where the vegetation is dominated by grasses
Desert Ecosystem
Desert ecosystems are dry environments with scarce vegetation, harsh temperatures.
Deserts can be hot and arid or extremely cold.
Tundra Ecosystem
tundra is the coldest of the biomes. It also receives low amounts of precipitation, making the tundra similar to a desert. Tundra is found in the regions just below the ice caps of the Arctic, extending across North America, to Europe and Siberia in Asia.
Aquatic Ecosystem
Aquatic ecosystems are ecosystems found in a body of water. These are further divided into two types: freshwater ecosystem and marine ecosystem.
Freshwater Ecosystem
Freshwater ecosystems are a subset of Earth's aquatic ecosystems. They include lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, springs, bogs, and wetlands. They can be contrasted with marine ecosystems, which have a larger salt content.
Marine Ecosystem
Marine ecosystems are aquatic environments with high levels of dissolved salt. These include the open ocean, the deep-sea ocean, and coastal marine ecosystems, each of which has different physical and biological characteristics
