One of the most common causes of injury at work is when items are moved or lifted incorrectly. If objects are moved by; lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing or pulling, we refer to this as Manual Handling. It’s important that everyone understands and follows best practice when it comes to manual handling to prevent an injury from occurring.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO US?

Our main priority is keeping you safe at work. As we work in an office environment, it's rare that you'll need to handle heavy objects and we try to avoid hazardous manual handling as far as reasonably practicable. However, where manual handling can't be avoided, you need to make sure that you're aware of the safest ways to do so.
