First Conditional

  • We use this form when we're talking about something which may or may not happen, but if it does, something will definetly follow. It refers only to a particular situation in the present or future and not to a general truth.
  • If you open the door, the dog may escape.
  • If the sun come out, the snow may melt.

How Can I identify a Conditional form?

  • IF : This word gives the condition so another thing can happen or we can imagine.
  • There's a consequence, a result, something that condition warns.

We use the First conditional to predict the result of possible situations. We use may/might to talk about something we're not very sure will happen in the future.
