Proper Nouns
Names of people, places or organizations are proper nouns.
Examples: Costa Rica, Bryan, November, Rome
Concrete Nouns
Concrete nouns are physical things that you can touch.
Examples: Car, Rock, Cell Phone, Pen
Abstract Nouns
They are things that you cannot touch.
Examples: happiness, truth, sadness, freedom
Countable Nouns
Countable nouns have singular and plural forms.
Examples: dollar, day, car, toy
Uncountable Nouns
You cannot count uncountable nouns.
Examples: water, money, rice, bread
Collective Nouns
A collective noun denotes a group of individuals.
Examples: family, group, team, class.
Compound Nouns
A compound noun is a noun that is made with two or more words.
Examples: bus stop, mother-in-law, football, swimming pool.
