Most of the time you pronounce years like in Ex 1: 1789 : you pronounce the 1st two digits together, then the next two digits together! Ex 2: 1066 Ex 3: 2021
Exceptions: - From 2001 to 2009: Ex 4: 2005 - Years ending with 2 zeros* : Ex 5: 1700 - Years with a zero* in 3rd position: Ex 6 =1504
* In years, zero is pronounced "o" (like the letter)
*The 2 zeros at the end are pronounced "hundred"
