The User role - admin
Who takes on the Admin role? Learning and Instructional Designers, Program Administrators, Customer Service Representatives or could be anyone that will manage the programs or program members ‘behind the scenes’.
How is an Admin engaged in the learning journey?The admin is a user that has admin permissions enabled, giving them access to the admin view of Promote. This means that they won’t necessarily participate in the programs as program members, instead, they manage everything behind the scenes. They might, for example:
- Design and build the learning journey
- Manage dates, venues and/or reports
- Manage program members and invitations
The User role - Learner
How is a Learner engaged in the learning journey?It’s all about the learners, they are the ones that will go through your learning program. All the assignments and tasks in the program will be completed by the learners, and the learners will be the ones that attend the Events and Sessions of your program.
Who takes on the Learner role? Participants, Students, New employees or anyone that will embark on a learning journey on your Promote site.
The User role - Facilitator
Who takes on the Facilitator role? Course Leaders, Program instructors and trainers - but might also include program sponsors or subject-matter experts.
How is a Facilitator engaged in the learning journey?The Facilitator has the overall operational responsibility for the program – for delivering the program and ensuring it runs smoothly and delivers on expectations.The facilitator keeps the program on track by monitor and follow-up cohort progress, individual learner progress and coach engagement.
The User role - Coach
Who takes on the Coach role? In most cases, the coach role is played by the learner’s direct manager but could be any individual in the learner’s performance environment that cares about the learner’s success.
How is a Coach engaged in the learning journey?Each learner can be assigned a coach in a program. Coaches are engaged in the learning journey on an ongoing basis. Promote supports coaches in their coach role indicating when their involvement is needed and in how to support their learners.
