- Seeds (herbs, tomatoes, peas, cucumbers, flowers etc.)

Following the below instructions:
f. Water the A pots with just water. Water the B pots with water containing 10 percent salt (e.g. 1 cup of water will contain 1.5 tablespoons of salt). g. Place near sunlight. h. Check on plants each day to ensure soil is moist. Water as needed with A pots getting water and B pots getting water with salt. i. Measure the height of the plants on days 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 etc. and record it in the chart found below. Calculate the average growth of plants A and average growth of plants B at Day 21.
a. Spread pots across a pan. The pan will be used to catch any water that drains. b. Label 4 pots A1, A2, A3, A4 and 4 pots B1, B2, B3, B4. The A pots will be your control pots. c. Fill each pot with soil. d. Take your finger and make a 1-inch indent in the soil of each pot. e. Put a seed in each hole and cover with soil.
