how to describe physically?
When we describe physically, we talk about the BODY characteristics of a person. Think about a person you DO NOT know, and you have to describe them just from what you see.
Physical descriptions require ADJECTIVES. These adjectives are the ones that are going to help us to express, through words, the image of a person as soon as we see them!

HOW TO DESCRIBE CLOTHING
+info
Clothes are also something we can see at first sight, BUUUUT they're not part of a person's body characteristics, because clothes can change from one day to another, and for our body is not so simple. In this case, we don't use adjectives, but we use the structure of "subject + to be + wearing + noun (the specific clothes)"
CLOTHES

Jacket, shirt, T-shirt, pants, shoes, sneakers, sweater, sweatpants, hoodie, blouse, dress

DESCRIBING ACTIONS
SHE'S THE GIRL PLAYING WITH BUBBLES
Apart from body characteristics and clothing, we can describe someone at first sight by what they're doing right in that moment. This is always using SUBJECT + TO BE + ING VERB.
HE'S THE GUY TAKING SELFIES 'CAUSE HE'S PERFECT
WE REPRESENT ACTIONS THROUGH PRESENT CONTINUOUS
As these actions are ocurring while we are watching the person (dos acciones simultáneas en el momento de hablar) we represent them with present continuous (que se usa para acciones que ocurren en el ahora ya).
Topic 04
USE OF HAVE AND TO BE
"Her hair is harlow gold [...] she has got Bette david eyes"Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes (1981)
VERB TO BE in present simple
HAVE/HAS in present simple
We use the structure HAVE/HAS (I - YOU - WE - THEY - HE - SHE - IT) when we talk about characteristics that "we possess" (como tener el cabello, tener los ojos de x color, tener tatuajes)
We use verb to be (am, is, are) when what we express is something that is part of us (o sea, algo que nos representa.
The construction is simple HAD: SUBJECT +HAVE/HAS+ CHARACTERISTIC TO BE: SUBJECT + to be + CHARACTERISTIC WITH ED (para que sea adjetivo)
He has blond hair
He is red-haired

describing personality
Are you a good or a bad person? How can you describe something you can't see?
use of adjectives
personality
Adjectives are essential when we are describing someone's personality. They can be divided into positive, negative, and neutral characteristics.
Personality is something we can only address when we already know the person we are talking about, and we have some certainty about their behaviour. We can't describe it if we don't know it, because it is invisible.
